Pictograms

(Pépin & Loranger, 2007)

Target Clientele

Children and adults (5 years and older) who:

NOTE: Beginner reading skills are required for this program

Target Skills

Mode: Visual
Principal skill(s) targeted: Reading

Several approaches and methods to facilitate learning to read have been proposed - one of them being learning through pictograms. The objective is to reinforce the links between stimuli and responses, mainly for everyday words. This automatic response to words common to written texts enables better reading performances. Decoding should thus be simplified and accelerated.

Exercises

    Levels
Stimuli Classes: 1. Images 61
  2. Words 61
