Scenario and task: The Shape Recognition program proposes a series of jigsaw puzzle type assembly tasks within a pirates and treasure scenario. A model of an abstract puzzle – a drawing comprised of intersecting and connecting lines – is presented on the left-hand side of the screen. One of the jigsaw pieces appears outlined at the base of the screen. The client must first locate and then select the corresponding space in the grid on the right-hand side of the screen. After each correct response, another piece then appears. The client must continue to place the pieces in the correct location until the jigsaw is complete. The client has two tries to correctly locate the jigsaw puzzle piece. After two incorrect responses, the correct response is indicated and then the client will continue the task with a new piece.
