Target Clientele
Children and adults (6 years and older) who:
Target Skills
Mode: Visual
Principal skill(s) targeted: Spatial relations
These exercises draw upon spatial relations, spatial visualization, perceptual organization, and assembling skills. The person must establish the spatial relationships between various geometric shapes in order to assemble and reconstruct a whole. The client must mentally represent the item's pieces as they would appear if they were rotated and moved closer together. Mentally imagining, assembling, and rotating the pieces are the main actions required to attain a mental representation of the desired figure.
Exercises
Levels Stimuli Classes: Sole 22
Scenario and task: An astronaut is constructing a geometric shape using complex equipment. These geometric figures are divided into two or more pieces that are presented at the top of the screen. The task consists of assembling the pieces to form a whole. The client must identify the correct response from the five shapes at the base of the screen. He/she has two tries to obtain the correct response. Examples are provided before the exercises and at each change in level.
Response mode(s): Click on the mouse or use arrow keys and the space bar to select.
Feedback:
Well Done! Correct response Oops. Try again. First incorrect response Oops. Here is the correct answer. Second incorrect response
Difficulty Level Variables
Level Completion Criterion: 3 consecutive correct responses
The exam
The exam is comprised of 22 items representative of the exercises from all 22 difficulty levels.
